Who does he look like?

There is a strong resemblance between Emma and Jacob. It is hard to capture in pictures, but I tried. She is very proud that her brother looks like her. If you showed me a picture of Emma as a baby it would be difficult to tell you if it was her or Jacob. You can decide for yourself.

Two Months Old

Jacob is two months old! He is so much fun! He is "talking" up a storm and as sweet as we could ask for. He is still pretty opinionated and loud but also sweet and content. He goes with the flow and is such a joy. He is still waking up once a night to eat and is now waking up looking for the pacifier (I hate this stage). He is going to bed around 8 and waking up around 7 or 7:30. He goes down for his naps very well as long as he has a pacifier. Until now he would only nap if held - not even in the car or swing. Last week he started going to sleep on his own in the crib and that has changed my life dramatically. Emma and Jonah adore him although Jonah has gone through another phase just struggling with his little brother demanding so much attention. Jacob goes in for his two month visit next week and we are anxious to see how much he weighs. He is growing so fast and is now in 9 month clothes! Precious, precious boy!

One Month Old

Yes, he is just one month old in these pictures. At one month he was wearing six month clothes and weighing somewhere around 13 pounds. He started to smile and coo quite a bit. At this point he was waking up once a night to eat around 3:30. Not bad for a four week old! We are enjoying him and amazed how fast he is growing!

Emma wanted her baby to be a part of tummy time with Jacob.

First Weeks

Jacob's first weeks went by so quickly. For the first ten days he was as close to perfect as possible. After that he started screaming A LOT. After a trip to the doctor we put him on Zantac for reflux and I have stopped drinking milk and am limiting all other dairy. Those things seemed to help. Jacob definitely makes sure he gets attention and is just like his brother and sister - loud and determined! The kids are loving him and we have to watch that Emma doesn't pick him up or smother him by covering him with a blanket and we have to watch that Jonah doesn't step on him, sit on him, or throw something at him. Never a boring moment in our house!

Enjoying the porch. We are so thankful for the screened in porch to keep the bugs and sun away from Jacob

Jonah likes to stick things in Jacob's ear...we have to keep a close watch on that
