Seven Months Old
- loves to sit up and play with a basket of toys
- enjoys the mega saucer and has figured out how to move his body to get the saucer to slide across the floor to the other side of the room
- LOVES to be outside...he stops screaming immediately when he gets outside. We have found that putting him in the saucer on the porch while we eat dinner allows us some quiet and the ability to all eat at once
- still not rolling from the front to back - he has no interest in this
- still only says dadada - he makes LOTS of noise all day, but dada is the only real syllable he says
- really enjoys blowing raspberries on my skin - anytime he gets a patch of my skin he starts blowing
- has yet to meet a food he doesn't like and really doesn't appear to favor any particular foods
- is highly distracted when nursing by anything around him
- has had two ear infections in the past week - he was on amoxicillin for the first one which cleared it up but a second one developed in the other ear
- has two teeth but there are about 6 that are waiting to pop through
- likes to bounce and bounce and bounce
- is a mama's boy
- has started eating cheerios - he is still working on the pincher grasp but is able to get some in his mouth
- eats a huge amount of food - 2-3 containers of baby food per meal and would keep eating if I let him
- has started taking longer naps in the afternoon YAY!
- likes to get a handful of my hair in his fist and then suck his thumb - in the midst of the ear infections this was his comfort in the middle of the night
- he is a very sweet and flexible baby. He has handled the transition to Emma's school schedule very well and does not fall asleep in the car, which is such a gift! He loves his siblings and spends most of his day smiling and interacting with them. He can definitely hold his own and is very loud out of necessity. We are so excited to see his personality continue to emerge. We love you so much Jacob Daniel!
